Multi-talented Alicia has a silky smooth voice
filled with power and angst.
I like this song for the strength of both lyric
and sound. The video including super-heroes
doesn't hurt, either!
Although I try and stray from the lovelorn these
days, there is a defiance and pride in this song;
yeah, I'm f'ed up by it, but I'm moving on.
There's a poetic nature to accepting the pain as
a part of life, not allowing it to control. That's what
works for me, at least.
Love the opening, too; we can help others but
often not our own situation. The flowing taffeta
is nice, too!
