Jimmy Cliff is a superb singer, song writer, and performer,
but this is probably my favorite song of his.
The strength and sincerity of the vocals are devastating.
You know this man knows whereof he speaks. You can feel the
story of the experience unfolding. He has been where you have
been.
There have been some great covers of this beautiful piece,
such as Annie Lennox and Carly Simon, but this is the
master at work; the inimitable Mr. Cliff.
Pure genius.
