Yeah, everybody got tired of hearing the song played every
five minutes at its height.
It's still a good band with a fresh sound, and "The Middle"
is one of the best alt pop songs ever written. Simple, catchy
music and some awesome lyrics.
Throw into the mix a truly moody and affective take on
peer pressure, and the picture is complete.
I love that I can still hear this song and feel like it's
impacting me for the first time. The themes of exclusiveness,
uniqueness, fitting in, following your heart, standing up for
yourself, and individuality are always in style.
