"Fast Car" cover by Boyce Avenue w/ Kina Grannis

There's really no such thing as improving on the perfection of Tracy Chapman, but I felt this song was a good showcase for the incredible talents of both these online sensations. Both Boyce Avenue and Kina Grannis have their own channels which are accessible through the video links, and they are definitely worth checking out. They do some tremendous covers and original work, too. Their smooth vocals create an entirely new experience for any song they touch. *************************************************************

Lauryn Hill--"Everything is Everything" (And Everything is Taxed!)

BLACK FOLKS-- PAY YOUR TAXES! The IRS is especially coming after you-- and ain't no damned Tea-Partiers coming to your aid, outraged and worked up! Just ask Redd Foxx, Hammer, Wesley Snipes, etc., as nauseum! (Even Willie Nelson-- he's an honorary Negro.) Reparations ain't in effect, girl...you cain't be setting it up on your own! (But I appreciate the effort, for sure!) We'll be thinking about you when we listen to "Everything is Everything" *************************
