It was due in large part to the exposure to certain female artists at the
Lesbian-themed music shop in Tampa that my musical tastes took shape
as they did! Artists like Joan, Lynn Lavner, Phranc, Grace Jones, Betty,
the Indigo Girls, and more! Joan's soulful depth and narrative continues
to move me today.
